Annual Meeting of the Astronomische Gesellschaft 2022

The International Annual Meeting of the German Astronomical Society will be hosted by the Center for Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) at the University of Bremen during the week September 12-16, 2022.

The meeting will include invited plenary talks, splinter sessions, and working group meetings of the Astronomical Society. We encourage all participants to join the meeting in person. Online participation in all scientific sessions will be possible as well. The same registration fees will apply for in-person and online participants.

The location Bremen and its Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) at the University of Bremen is dedicated to basic research and the development of technologies for space missions and microgravity experiments. With the Bremen Drop Tower, ZARM operates a research laboratory for short-term experiments under high-quality microgravity conditions that is the only laboratory of this kind in Europe. There will be an opportunity to tour the facility as part of the meeting.

For planning purposes registration for the meeting will be mandatory. Registration will be open until August 31, 2022.

Abstract submission for contributions to the splinter meetings will be open for registered participants until August 22, 2022.
