Based on the preliminary analysis of the first eROSITA all-sky survey data, we have identified several new X-ray binary candidates. Here, we report on follow-up observations of two of them with XMM-Newton which allowed to refine X-ray positions, unambiguously identify corresponding optical counterparts for both objects, and study in detail their X-ray and optical properties. As a result, we conclude that both candidates are probably X-ray bright chromospherically active stars rather than XRBs. We discuss possible reasons for mis-classification in order to improve selection of faint XRB candidates in final eRosita survey.
