KROME - an Open-Source Code to Model Thermochemistry
Tommaso Grassi, Stefano Bovino
Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics
KROME is a library-like and open-source code to include thermochemistry and microphysics in a wide range of astrophysical simulations, including complex and CPU-demanding hydrodynamical models. During the past eight years it has been improved by including more and more physical processes, as well as optimized to cope with modern numerical challenges. I will describe the general astrophysical problem and the features that make this code flexible and widely-used by our community.
