Almost matter-independent universal relations for the quasinormal modes of neutron stars in R^2 theory

We consider neutron stars in an alternative gravity theory, R^2 gravity, under a number of equations of state covering different matter content of the star. We present the results of quasinormal modes in these configurations. Using the quasinormal modes, we construct universal relations which are approximately independent of the unknown matter composition of the core of the star. These relations could play a role in putting bounds in the parameters of alternative theories.
