Splinter Meeting RadioSky

The Southern Radio-Sky: Results & Opportunites

Time: Tuesday September 13, 14:00-16:30 and Wednesday September 14, 14:00-15:45 and 16:15-18:00 CEST (UTC+2)

Room: SFG 1030 / virtual RadioSky

Convenor(s): Michael Kramer, Natasha Maddox, Joe Mohr, Stefan Wagner

The radio sky visible from the Southern hemisphere is being explored with unprecedented sensitivity, resolution and frequency coverage. Existing and new telescopes like ALMA, APEX, ASKAP, MeerKAT and MWA are powerful instruments that allow studies not possible before. In the near future the SKA will revolutionise studies at cm-wavelengths even further. This session will bring together colleagues presenting new results and discussing further opportunities promised by these studies.
